When can I move into a unit at Uncle Tank's?
You can move in anytime during normal access hours. Gate access hours are 6:00 am to 10:00 pm daily. (Be sure to be out by 10pm, as the gates will lock at that time.)
In order to activate your gate code, you must rent your unit, which entails signing your lease and paying for your first month. This process can be done online on our website on in person at our office (M-F 9am-6pm, Saturday 9am-1pm).
How much notice needs to be given before I move out?
All contracts are month-to-month. A one-week verbal notification is requested before you move out. If all of your belongings are not out of your unit before the first day of the month, and your lock removed, you will be charged for that new month. No exceptions.
What type of documentation do I need to provide in order to rent a space?
We require a government-issued photo ID (example: driver’s license, state ID, or passport).
Do I need to sign a long-term lease?
No, we rent on a month-to-month basis unless the customer requests otherwise.
How do I make my monthly payment?
You can pay in person, through our website or give us a call to pay over the phone. You may also sign up to have payments automatically deducted from your credit card.
What forms of payment do you accept?
VISA, MasterCard, American Express, Discover. No cash or checks accepted.
Do you sell boxes and storage supplies?
Yes. We sell various moving supplies in our office.
How much storage space will I need?
You can use our size guide or call our manager for assistance.
Are there any items that I am NOT able to store?
Liquids, explosives, flammable liquids, toxic materials, and perishables. Please contact us if you have any questions regarding a specific item.
Does the office attendant have to usher me through the security gates?
No. When you rent your unit, you will be given your own security passcode that will allow you access to your unit during normal gate access hours. (6am-10pm daily.)
Do you have handcarts and dollies available at your facility?
Yes. You are welcome to use our complimentary carts to move in. (These are available during office hours: M-F 9am-6pm and Saturday 9am-1pm).
